Nestled within two acres of grounds with views of the Malvern Hills, our family-run care home offers a warm, close-knit community for just 19 residents. Set in a charming 1920s country house, we are proudly rated ‘Good’ by the CQC.
About us
Evendine House is a family-run care home in the village of Colwall, on the edge of Malvern. It’s a converted 1920s country house set in two acres of landscaped gardens, with views across the Malvern Hills.
With just 19 residents, the home feels warm and personal, and new residents settle in quickly. As part of Heartlands Care, a family-owned group running care homes since 1997, our team has the training, systems and care technology of a larger organisation behind them.
Care at Evendine House
Everyone who lives here has an 18-point care plan. We write it with you and your loved one’s GP, and we keep it up to date as needs change. You can see it whenever you like through the online Family Portal.
Help with everyday things like washing, dressing and medication, while keeping as much independence as possible. Meals, housekeeping and laundry are all taken care of.
Staff trained in dementia and Alzheimer’s care are here 24 hours a day. Because the home is small, faces stay familiar and days follow a calm, steady routine.
Short stays for when a family carer needs a break, or when someone needs extra support for a while. Emergency respite is available if you need help quickly.
We also offer day care and couples care. Couples can live together here even if their care needs are different.
Evendine House is a residential home, not a nursing home. If someone needs nursing input, we arrange it with local GPs and district nurses.

Why choose us
Two acres of lawns, flower borders and quiet seating, with the hills right behind the house. Many rooms and lawns look out over the hills, and there’s plenty of space to sit outside when the weather’s good.
With 19 residents, staff know each person by name, along with their routines and what they enjoy. Many of the team have worked here for years, so faces stay familiar.
Residents bring photos and favourite pieces of furniture, and pets are welcome too. Families can check the 18-point care plan whenever they like on the online Family Portal, and video calls are easy to arrange.
Three hot meals a day, cooked here from fresh, local produce, with snacks and homemade cake whenever you want them. Each day there’s something to enjoy at a pace that suits each resident, from music and arts and crafts to garden walks and visiting entertainers, and family are welcome to stay for a meal or afternoon tea free of charge.
Meet the team
All our carers are fully qualified, and staff are trained in dementia and Alzheimer’s care. Many of the team have been here for years, so residents and families see familiar faces every day.

Home Manager
I have been at Evendine since 2013 and now lead the home. I am passionate about making sure our residents have excellent care in a fun, homely environment. I am also the medication lead and oversee all medication for our residents.

Senior Care Assistant
I have been in the health care sector for over 6 years and joined Evendine in 2024. I am medication-trained and take great pride in delivering safe, effective care, and in supporting our carers to provide person-centred care to every resident.

Senior Care Assistant
I joined Evendine in 2022, after working as a nurse in India. I support residents with their daily needs, respecting each person’s dignity, independence and choices, and I enjoy building meaningful relationships with residents and their families.

Head Chef
I have been at Evendine since 2020, starting as second cook and now head cook. I have worked in catering for 30 years, but my happiest times have been here. I love chatting with our residents and making cakes with them.
